Deurbel als politienetwerk
EFF documenteert Ring-politiepartnerschappen: destijds ongeveer 1 op 10 Amerikaanse korpsen. Bulkverzoeken om beelden, inclusief protesten. Het netwerk is de buurt zelf.
«These partnerships now encompass 1 in every 10 police departments in the United States.»

Ring × Axon
«Axon reviews police officers’ requests for footage and stores all footage acquired in its secure evidence database.»

«Prohibited AI practices include social scoring by public authorities and certain real-time remote biometric identification.»

Geolitica: PredPol = risk assessments
«Rather than predicting, we were conducting risk assessments, using what-where-when historical crime data to identify the highest-risk locations of specified crimes by time of day and day of week.»

Santa Cruz: predictive policing verboden (code)
«“Predictive policing technology” means software that is used to predict information or trends about crime or criminality in the past or future, including but not limited to the characteristics or profile of any person(s) likely to commit a crime, the identity of any person(s) likely to commit crime, the locations or frequency of crime, or the person(s) impacted by predicted crime.»

Loomis: COMPAS bij sentencing toegelaten
Het Wisconsin Supreme Court (State v.
«Ultimately, we conclude that if used properly, observing the limitations and cautions set forth herein, a circuit court's consideration of a COMPAS risk assessment at sentencing does not violate a defendant's right to due process.»

«As part of this approach, we do not make predictions about the actions of people - that means no arrest data, social media, or personal data is used.»
